The audience will help him decipher clues written in secret code that lead to the discovery of some funny stories--fables, trickster tales, and "how and why" stories that explain nature's mysteries. A library card is the ticket to this round-the-world adventure. Visit a silly donkey in Greece, a mischeivous spider in Africa, and some singing mice in Japan! This show is a lively collection of folktales and fables from world literature. These tales have entertained children with their lively lessons for thousands of years. Watch the antics of The Boy Who Cried Wolf, The Lion and the Mouse, The Tortoise and the Hare and more! In a kingdom far away, a king and queen send a knight to capture an elusive unicorn. In his quest, the knight meets a jester, a dragon, a witch and a gardener. Each one asks him riddles, and he needs help solving them. Watch two puppies build a snowman that comes to life. Visit a shoemaker’s shop on a wintry day. Travel to the Land of the North Wind to discover three magic gifts. And watch a boastful bear go ice fishing. You never know who might pop up...a goblin, a wise woman, and elf or a leprechaun! This show is a rollickling assortment of enchanted objects, secret powers and hilarious adventures...all from the magical world of children's books. Stories for springtime and harvest, summer and winter, Halloween, Christmas, Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, and even Arbor Day! This is just a sampling of the shows available. Every show includes several short tales, many with audience participation, and is suitable for children aged 3 to 10 and family audiences. Drawing from our large repertoire of stories, we can create shows for every season and many special occasions and themes.
